Saco Main Street is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved Pumpkin Harvest Festival, presented by Saco and Biddeford Savings, set to take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in historic downtown Saco. This year’s event promises a day full of family fun and cherished fall traditions, perfect for all ages.
Join us from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for an enchanting celebration of the season! Attendees will be captivated by the creativity on display in our pumpkin patch, featuring unique pumpkins beautifully decorated by Saco K-8 students. Don’t miss the exciting pie-eating contest and performances by dancers from Steppin’ Out, Collective Motion Arts Center, and the Maine Baton Twirling Council. DJ Kris Hype will be spinning tunes from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a live performance from Tumbledown Saints from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, presented by Keep It Local Maine.
In addition to the festivities, the Pumpkin Harvest Festival will feature local vendors and businesses offering a variety of handmade goods, tasty treats, seasonal crafts, and family-friendly activities. There will also be pony rides, a carnival area, and an appearance by T-Bone, a 29-foot long dinosaur.
Food will be available for purchase at the event. Saco Masons Lodge #9 will be serving up delicious options, and several eateries along Main Street will be open, excited to offer festival-goers a variety of mouthwatering options.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, Main Street will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Water Street/Pepperell Square to Thornton Avenue from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM on the day of the event. We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, and soak in the charming fall atmosphere. The Saco Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will provide a bicycle valet at the event, so we encourage attendees to walk or bike to the event due to limited availability of parking.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to the following Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a delightful day of autumn fun at the Pumpkin Harvest Festival!
