One of the things that makes Downtown Saco so special is the people behind the businesses. Our new Faces of Main Street series will give you a chance to get to know them a little better: what inspires them, what they love about Saco, and where you might bump into them around town when they’re off the clock.

Today, we’re featuring Family Eye Care, where Dr. Juliann Kandra, OD and Kelsey Earley, ABOC, Practice Manager, bring fresh perspective & hometown roots to the heart of Saco. From personalized eye care in a relaxed atmosphere to their favorite go-to spots, here’s a closer look at the duo helping Saco see a little clearer.

MEET FAMILY EYE CARE!

Q: What inspired you to open your business here in Saco?

Dr. K: After growing up and practicing in a big city I wanted to work and live in a smaller beach town, Saco has the best of both!

Kelsey: I was born and raised in Saco, then traveled with the military for many years and I can’t explain the feelings I get from being able to serve the people of my hometown community.

Q: What’s your favorite part about being a part of the Downtown Saco community?

A: Saco has the best of small community feel with the advantages of so many locally owned businesses.

Q: If someone is visiting your business for the first time, what’s one thing they should know?

A: We strive to give the best personalized family eyecare in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Q: When you’re not at work, where’s your favorite place to grab a bite, shop, or spend time in Saco?

Kelsey: Sweets and Co for a refreshing beverage and Traditions’ Chicken Parmesan is my all-time Italian favorite.

Dr K’s favorite place to spend time is at the beach.

Who do you nominate for the next Faces of Main Street feature?
