  • This walk will mostly be in a section with many stairs, although users can bypass and stay on the sidewalk.
  • Pay as you can! $20 suggested donation, or pay as you can! Knowing the proceeds will be used to send a local student to a science or outdoor recreation camp!

Duration

Below the Falls is a 30-40 minute tour, at your own pace! The route is roughly 0.75 miles out-and-back from Riverfront Park.

Starting Point

The tour starts at the trailhead in Riverfront Park, just off Front Street, under the railroad bridge if coming from downtown Saco.

Accessibility

This tour is fun for all ages, but please be aware that the trail is not suitable for strollers or mobility devices. NOTE: Trail conditions can change with the weather.

When is the tour available?

Below the Falls is self-guided and can be explored anytime, year-round. There’s no set schedule—visit whenever it works for you.

What to Bring

- Comfortable walking shoes!
- Your cellphone: the interactive tour is made available via an online portal. Headphones are suggested to better listen to the audio portion of the tour.

Parking

Free public parking is available along Front Street, in nearby Pepperell Square, and throughout Downtown Saco.

Purchase access to the tour using the ticket portal below. You’ll receive an email with a link to the tour content. A $20 donation is suggested to help support this experience.​
